A group of ten sentenced of cyber-bullying against Brigitte Macron

A Paris court has found guilty ten people for carrying out the cyber-bullying of Brigitte Macron, the partner of French President, Emmanuel Macron.
The those on trial faced charges of circulating fabrications regarding her sex and sexuality, in addition to making defamatory statements about the pair's 24-year age gap.
The court issued suspended prison sentences of as much as eight months to the perpetrators. The full ruling has yet to be released.
A circulating unfounded claim alleging that Brigitte Macron is a person assigned male at birth has been in circulation since her husband's rise to the presidency in 2017.
This Monday's court decision in France comes as the Macrons initiating a libel case in the US against conservative commentator Candace Owens, who has also voiced similar conspiracy theories about the first lady's biological sex.
Their complaint alleges that Owens ignored all credible evidence that refuted her assertions opting to platforming known conspiracy theorists.
Owens has often echoed these assertions on her show and social media channels, and in March 2024 stated that she would stake her entire professional reputation on her conviction that Mrs. Macron was born a man.
Brigitte Macron first met her now-husband when she was a teacher at his lycée.
The pair married in 2007, when the then-29-year-old Emmanuel Macron was 29 and she was approximately 54 years old.
